More Snow and more resorts opening!

Over 80 resorts across the Alps and North America are now open for skiing and boarding following big snowfalls and cold temperatures at the beginning of November, which has continued over the last few days.

Verbier in Switzerland opened last weekend and Obergurgl in Austria is opening a week early.

Half a metre of snow has fallen in Tignes and it has been snowing heavily in the Chamonix Valley.

There has also been big snowfalls in North America and some resorts in the eastern USA have opened early.

For the moment things are looking good. The photo is of Ischgl in Austria.
