Summer Snow in Tignes & Val d'Isere

Tignes and Val d'Isere in the Espace Killy have received fresh snowfalls just before the resorts open for their Summer skiing season.

About 10 cm's fell on Thursday 17th June and both resorts will have good conditions for their first Summer season weekend.

The Grande Motte Glacier in Tignes which has a range of 3,00 metres to around 3,450 metres will be open from 07.15 am to 1 pm until the 29th August - 12 lifts will be running with about 20 km's of skiing including a snowpark.

On the Glacier in Le Fornet, Val d'Isere, lifts will run from 07.30 am until 12.30 pm and depending on conditions the ski area will be open until 18th July.
