The Reselehof is one of Nasserein’s oldest buildings dating back to 1490. Originally built by a wealthy mining entrepreneur from Schwaz, in 1525 it passed into the hands of a local man, Georg Weiskopf, who allegedly made his fortune as a mercenary. It remained in the Weiskopf family for around 300 years, during which time it evolved from a family home into a guesthouse. Due to its location right on the main route through the Arlberg it would have attracted a lot of passing custom until 1824, when the road was rebuilt, bypassing Nasserein completely. However, with the rapid rise of tourism in the 20th century, and the building of the Nasserein Gondola in particular, the hotel is enjoying a renaissance. The current owner, Marie, bought the hotel two years ago and has already lavished a lot of care and attention on her new baby. Further refurbishments over the summer will undoubtedly make this chalet a must for skiers who want modern comfort combined with traditional character.
