Fine Wine and our Culinary Fine Dining Experience!
For six days of the week our Chalet Hotel catering staff prepare all your meals for you as described below. On their day off, breakfast will still be served to you as normal without however the hot option, and that evening you and your family have the chance to eat out in one of the local cafés or restaurants. The majority of our guests feel that children under 13 years can inhibit the dinner-party atmosphere at evening meals, especially if they are over-tired, so our younger guests are served high tea at about 5.30pm. We do not then allow anyone under 13 at the adult evening meals in our Chalet Hotels.
Beakfast
A good breakfast is essential on a ski holiday, so we provide a choice of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, plentiful tea and coffee, local bread (and croissants or ‘pains au chocolat’ in France), cold meats, cheeses and preserves, and boiled eggs. This is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself. Additionally we offer a daily hot dish, such as scrambled eggs with mushrooms or home-made pancakes.
Afternoon Tea
The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you by your chalet host, ready for your return. A good cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake.
Children’s High Tea
Served at around 5.30pm and supervised by our staff, high tea provides children under 13 with a healthy menu, but tailored more towards children’s tastes than our main adult dinner. Puréed food is available for infants on request. Parents are asked to accompany children under 36 months, whilst children 3-12 years will be supervised by chalet staff. Children under 13 are not allowed to join the adult-only dinner.
Culinary Choice Dinner
Our ‘Culinary Choice’ adult dinners comprise five courses, with a choice of menu for your enjoyment. Adults will be asked to choose their evening meals at breakfast for that evening from a choice of varied dishes selected for each course, accompanied of course by our complimentary wines.
Example Menu
Canapes
Smoked Salmon and Keta Blinis and Mini Sweet Potato Rosti
Starter
Rocket, Fennel and Parmesan Salad or Carrot Soup with Coriander Oil and Garlic Croutons
Main Course
Red Wine Braised Beef with Herb Gnocchi and Parsnip Crisps or Roast Chicken Breast with a Taragon and Wild Mushroom Cream
Vegetarian Option
Chilli and Lime Chickpea Cakes with a Velvety Butter Sauce
All main courses served with Fondant Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables
Dessert
Sticky Toffee Pudding with Creme Fraiche and Caramel Sauce or Classic Tarte au Citron
A Selection of Regional Cheeses
Coffee or Tea with Chocolates
Selection or Red, Rose and White Wines
Our Wine Selection
We are very proud of our wine selection which combines crisp and fruity whites with medium to full bodied reds, for a variety of palates. We select our wines in conjunction with our good friends Nicolas and Véronique Perret the third generation in the Perret family’s fine wine business based in the Savoie. Nicolas is a Master of Wine, having trained at the prestigious Burgundy Wine University in Beaune. Each season in October, Nicolas and Véronique bring over a new selection for us to sample (someone has to do it!) and together we choose our four wines for the coming season, based on our menus and their pure enjoyment factor. Wine is an incredibly subjective and emotive subject, however the feedback we have received from our guests over recent seasons endorses our aims of providing wines to enhance your meal and to suit most tastes. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do!
Special Diets
Vegetarian options are always available if you advise us in advance, and other special diets can generally be catered for at a cost of £35 per person per week. and please advise us at the time of booking, and specify details on your Booking Form . |

The Annahof simply could not be better placed for access to all parts of Saas Fees superb ski area.
The Spielboden and Plattjen gondolas are less than 3 minutes walk away (250m), and the Alpin Express only approximately 3 minutes walk (310m). Alternatively, you can take the drag-lift just 2 minutes walk away, which connects to the Felskinn cable-car, taking you straight up to 3,000m to start your day.
Equally importantly, wherever you finish your ski day in Saas Fee, runs from all areas can bring you back home to the door of the Annahofs ski-room.
Beginners also have their own dedicated area just 3 minutes walk away across the bridge, and the childrens kindergarten-ski area is just by the gondolas base station, and so also less than 3 minutes walk away.
