This was the spirit in which the refurbishment of the Hôtel des Trois Vallées was undertaken, it being the resort’s oldest. Half a century later, in 2013, the Hotel and its 31 bedrooms are about to celebrate a metamorphosis into the Auberge de Luxe. An authentic chalet at the height of luxury with the privilege of skiing right outside your doorstep, you will find yourself at the heart of all the resort’s activities
(see map) in one of the most beautiful skiing areas of the world.
With an eye to history and to the furniture of that period, the Hotel is revising the concept of modernity by drawing on these pioneers of design who, in the 1950s, invented the art of living in the mountains and built and furnished Courchevel : Charlotte Perriand, of Jean Prouvé or Pierre Paulin, of Pierre Guariche or Pierre Chapo.
A snack next to the fireplace, relaxing in the spa, the peace and quiet of the 31 bedrooms, the gourmet pleasures of a mountain market, each and every hour has its individual routine and ambiance in this living space, ideally designed and located so as to take full advantage of the high mountain, without suffering any of its rigours.
In the lounge, by the table by Pierre Chapo, you will find the bench by Jean Prouvé and references to Charlotte Perriand. It will be recalled that Courchevel invented the mountain just as these architect-designers invented the art of living there. Before being intoxicated by the charms of extreme luxury, Courchevel was once a young pioneer, too.
