This lovely, high quality Chalet Hotel, in a prime location in this ever popular resort. Offering comfort and convenience.

The ski-school meeting point and the magic carpet nursery area for the Spritelets classes are just 50m away. The ‘Doron’ blue run outside takes you straight down to the resort centre, the main lifts and access to the whole of the Three Valleys, or you can take the Adret chairlift from just below the Rondpoint.

At the end of your day, returning to the Alba on skis couldn’t be easier, either from the Saulire side down the Marmotte and Doron slopes, or, if you end up in the resort centre, the Rhodos 1 gondola will bring you straight ‘home’.

The Alba has charming communal rooms, with the lounge and bar attractively furnished with rich fabrics, comfy seating and a feature fireplace to welcome skiers home. This also provides the perfect ambience for enjoying evening apéritifs and canapés.

The spacious dining-room has picture windows overlooking the large sun-terrace and the Doron slopes, the Rondpoint and the scenic Méribel valley.

There is a small adults-only wellness area on the lower ground floor, with a sauna, steam-room and whirlpool spa-bath affording parents a relaxing haven in which to unwind and relax after the day’s exertions.

Hot and cold buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and Culinary Choices evening menu. There is a baby-listening service, running till 11pm, allows parents to relax in good company over coffee and liqueurs after dining. Children’s high tea is served at 5.30pm and supervised by our staff till 6pm.
Offering a complete range of room-styles here to suit most families, from a couple with a baby to sets of rooms for larger families, sleeping up to six.

Catering

Fine Wine and our Culinary Fine Dining Experience!
For six days of the week our Chalet Hotel catering staff prepare all your meals for you as described below. On their day off, breakfast will still be served to you as normal without however the hot option, and that evening you and your family have the chance to eat out in one of the local cafés or restaurants. The majority of our guests feel that children under 13 years can inhibit the dinner-party atmosphere at evening meals, especially if they are over-tired, so our younger guests are served high tea at about 5.30pm. We do not then allow anyone under 13 at the adult evening meals in our Chalet Hotels.
Breakfast
A good breakfast is essential on a ski holiday, so we provide a choice of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, plentiful tea and coffee, local bread (and croissants or ‘pains au chocolat’ in France), cold meats, cheeses and preserves, and boiled eggs. This is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself. Additionally we offer a daily hot dish, such as scrambled eggs with mushrooms or home-made pancakes.
Afternoon Tea
The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you by your chalet host, ready for your return. A good cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake.
Children’s High Tea
Served at around 5.30pm and supervised by our staff, high tea provides children under 13 with a healthy menu, but tailored more towards children’s tastes than our main adult dinner. Puréed food is available for infants on request. Parents are asked to accompany children under 36 months, whilst children 3-12 years will be supervised by chalet staff. Children under 13 are not allowed to join the adult-only dinner.
Culinary Choice Dinner
Our ‘Culinary Choice’ adult dinners comprise five courses, with a choice of menu for your enjoyment. Adults will be asked to choose their evening meals at breakfast for that evening from a choice of varied dishes selected for each course, accompanied of course by our complimentary wines.

Example Menu
Canapes
Smoked Salmon and Keta Blinis and Mini Sweet Potato Rosti
Starter
Rocket, Fennel and Parmesan Salad or Carrot Soup with Coriander Oil and Garlic Croutons

Vegetarian Option

All main courses served with Fondant Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables

Our Wine Selection
We are very proud of our wine selection which combines crisp and fruity whites with medium to full bodied reds, for a variety of palates. We select our wines in conjunction with our good friends Nicolas and Véronique Perret the third generation in the Perret family’s fine wine business based in the Savoie. Nicolas is a Master of Wine, having trained at the prestigious Burgundy Wine University in Beaune. Each season in October, Nicolas & Véronique bring over a new selection for us to sample (someone has to do it!) and together we choose our four wines for the coming season, based on our menus and their pure enjoyment factor. Wine is an incredibly subjective and emotive subject, however the feedback we have received from our guests over recent seasons endorses our aims of providing wines to enhance your meal and to suit most tastes. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do!

Special Diets
Vegetarian options are always available if you advise us in advance, and other special diets can generally be catered for at a cost of £35 per person per week. and please advise us at the time of booking, and specify details on your Booking Form .
