Val d'Isere - World Class In All Aspects

Val d’Isère is one of the most popular resorts in the French Alps and has managed to retain its traditional village feel. Elegant and cosmopolitan, with its origins in medieval hunting estates, Val d’Isère has an array of shops, bars, clubs and restaurants to suit all tastes. The nightlife in Val d’Isère is outstanding and renowned all over the Alps, attracting many celebrities from all over the world.

Le Fornet is a small, pretty hamlet 2km from the centre of Val d'Isere. Access to the skiing is via a cable car and the hamlet is also served by the well known Train Rouge. This is the bus service that enables you to travel free between Solaise, La Daille and Le Fornet - the three ski areas of Val d'Isere. Buses run from 0830 hours until 0135 hours. Chalet Grand Pares is ideally situated 50m from the bus stop and only 75m from the cable car station.

Skiing & Boarding In Val d'Isere
The combined lift systems of Val d’Isère and Tignes (the Espace Killy - 300km of marked runs) offer some of the very best skiing and boarding in the world. The excellent lift system also provides access to some of the most exciting off-piste in the Alps, such as Le Tour du Charvet, Le Grand Vallon and the Col du Pers. The snowpark facilities are well developed and offer the opportunity to try a little free-style, if you feel up to it!
Après-ski In Val d'Isere
Val d’Isère offers possibly the most trendy and lively après-ski of anywhere in the Alps. Look out for the Pacific Bar, Saloon or Le Petit Danois for mingling with fellow countrymen or Café Face and The Lodge for more of an experience of French ambience. The famous Dick’s T-Bar opens late – for those with the energy for dancing! Val d’Isère offers a wide variety of restaurants to please any appetite; from fish and sushi to the local savoyarde style. There is also an ice rink, fitness centre, swimming pool, ice climbing, skidooing, ice karting and parapenting.
