Niseko is made up of three areas of slopes, Grand Hirafu, Annupuri and Higashiyama with a total of 38 lifts covered by a single pass. The three are linked. There are modern lifts but also some old single chairs on upper slopes. This resort has a great reputation for powder snow which falls constantly from December to the end of February.

The most popular and easily accessible area is Grand Hirafu which is open from 08:30 till 20: 30 giving you the chance to go night skiing.

Après-ski In Niseko

Numerous bars and restaurants at the base of the mountains. Extremely inexpensive alcohol. There is a wide variety of restaurants serving Japanese and Western food and menus are in English. Try udon (thick white noodles), tofu dishes, tempura (battered deep fried vegetables or shrimp), ramen (chinese style noodles in a pork or chicken stock) as well as sushi, crab and shrimps.
