Skiing & Boarding In Aspen

The ski terrain is spread over four separate areas: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass, all linked by an efficient free shuttle service. Snowmass alone provides almost 60% of the total skiing available and is the third largest ski area in Colorado. Beginners will head for the gentle runs of Buttermilk and progress to Snowmass. Intermediates will warm up on Snowmass and then head for Aspen Mountain (where there is no beginner territory). Experts will tackle the steep runs on Aspen Mountain and then over to Highlands, the locals’ favourite.

Après-ski In Aspen

Aspen is one of the best places for après-ski with venues to suit every pocket. The shopping is extensive and varied as are non-skiing activities such as skating, tennis, bowling and ballooning. The Caribou Club or the Japanese Takah Sushi are good places to spot stars. Happy Hours abound and of note are The Ajax Tavern and Mezzaluna, but with over 100 bars and restaurants, the choice is yours. Snowboarders will love the world’s largest terrain park in Buttermilk.
