Les Deux Alpes and Alpe D'Huez to possibly link up

A proposal has been put forward to link up the resorts of Alpe D'Huez and Les Deux Alpes. There has been chat of this over the past few years but it is finally looking as though a company will be created to set up a finance bid.

The link up would create one of the largest ski areas in the Alps. The thoughts would be to build a lift similar to the Whistler gondola that links the peaks of Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain.

At 8Km in length it would possibly be able to take 3000 skiers and boarders per hour on the 18 minute journey!
